The conference “Reforming Iraq’s Economy: Challenges and Vision for the Future, 2024″ (RIE) aims to address the multifaceted challenges encountered by the Iraqi economy, particularly market volatility, administrative and financial corruption, and economic crises. It seeks to achieve this by employing state-of-the-art technological advancements, implementing accounting standards, international auditing, and modern strategies to combat corruption and money laundering and promote economic reforms.

Conference papers can be disseminated either by publishing them in a scientific journal within Scopus, which researchers have to pay for, or by posting them in the Conference Proceedings in the Journal of Accounting and Financial Studies, which the conference will cover. Papers accepted and presented at the conference will fall under the latter category.

The Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies was established at the University of Baghdad in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under Article (1) of the Institute’s law No. (33) For the year 1999.
